Cracked Wheel Repair Findings

Hi All,

One of my big 22s had a crack in them. I took it to a place in Huntingdon called Acefinish who did a pretty rough job lasted a month or two before it dropped pressures slowly again. I then went to a local guy in the next village form word of mouth and wow it looks like new! Just thought i share my findings of both! Current stable:
2006 BMW M6
2007 4.2 V8 S/C FF
Gone:
2002 4.4 V8 FF

Glad to know you found someone who has done a good job for you.

Would you care to share the details of the local for us? Cheers
Richard

Yep sure,

The guy is called Peter Tyers and he is based on somersham industrial estate do t have the number as I popped in. You will need a spare as you take it to the tyre shop up the road to get the tyre off he fixes it they put it back on, usually have to leave with him for a day or so.

(Not so) ace finish job £96! :

Peter Tyers just under £50:

Did he refinish the wheel or are you having that done elsewhere? (don't mean to sound like the Spanish Inquisition) Cheers

The term may have been first used by John Hoyland and Mike Holderness in response to a reader in New Scientist sometime in 1994. Partly in view of the book by Daniel Snowman: Pole Positions—The Polar Regions and the Future of the Planet.
