Hi All
I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing water dripping onto their battery in an L322 2011. From memory the earlier vehicles had some sort of cover but despite the drain hole on the scuttle being unblocked, the water just runs in between the gap in the adjacent weather trims (one on RHS wing top and the other across the back of the engine bay) and onto the battery. Could I be missing a trim cover? Does anyone have a potential solution as it's making a big mess.

I've looked further at my water dripping onto the battery and it looks like the cowling surrounding the front windscreen is where the water is getting in. I'm planning to use some sealant and seal the cowling against the screen on the outside. The current cowling is bowing away from the screen slightly in places so it must be kapput.

Yes both of them are still on. The water is running down the screen and soaking the foam material above the battery. Once that's saturated it drips onto the battery itself

All sorted. i've added sealant around the screen scuttle and the water no longer drips onto the battery.
