MY17> infotainment 19A software released

Release notes here

Now to wait to see how many problems this update causes (and if my dealer notifies me as previously promised)

Is it possible to update the software over-the-air on MY19 InControl Touch Pro Duo, or does it need to go into the dealer/workshop?
I had a quick check yesterday under Software Updates via the menu, but no updates were showing as available available. This was while connected to 4G via the SIM.

My MY17 was booked in for an update last week but the dealer cancelled as JLR had recalled the update, still waiting for a call from them to rearrange!!

It should be possible if the infrastructure has been enabled to make it happen. I had the same "no update available" message when I tried with mine both via 3G and WLAN at home. When I have time I may try to see what network traffic the vehicle is generating.

It's possible that the release note has been published in advance of the new software version actually being available.

My car is being booked in for the 19A update after I received a call from JLR Customer Relations.

This what my dealer had to say about 18D update, quote...

"Because yours is running 18D which was stopped by JLR due to it being inadequate"

Hopefully 19A will resolve the issues. All LR cars from 1984

Chalky, could you send me an (anonymised) copy of your letter please? My car is going in for a few minor issues and I want the update loading, your letter might help convince my dealer to do so! Thanks in advance!

As of 26/3/19 there is a new version of the 19A update:
SOFTWARE VERSION: S19A_19.11.4-330884, ASSEMBLY PART NUMBER: LX73-19C204-BA

The previous one was:
SOFTWARE VERSION: S19A_19.07.2-312706, PART NUMBER: K8A2-19C204-BB

(sorry for the caps - copy/paste from TOPIX)

If you register for (free access to TOPIX, input your vehicle VIN click on "view all vehicle details" then click on the "Vehicle Software" tab you should be presented with the latest version available for the IMC (unfortunately only the part number, not S/W version)
Also there is a slider marked "SOTA" which could be for setting/displaying whether your vehicle is set to receive over the air IMC updates.

Just had 19A update and although InControl Pro seems better, the generic LR Satnav and Waze are both set to Night Time colours and will not change automatically. Dealer looking into it for me. All LR cars from 1984

When you say that the In Control Pro seems better, do you mean clearer or faster or something else please?

Apple Carplay launches every time (which helps) and is quicker, plus all the apps work properly (so far!!).

Google maps are better and the voice commands are quicker. It just all feels better, except the annoying night/day satnav change which should be automatic. I tend to use Google maps in Satellite mode so not too much of a bother but when I use Waze in towns the map is too dark during the day. All LR cars from 1984

According to the release note that should be fixed in the second 19A release.
