Well not many MetPol departments use Full Fats, not even Traffic.

Royalty and Special Protection tend to use FullFats as they use them to block other vehicles and as back up vehicles in the event of the Principal vehicle developing a problem whilst en route.

The vehicle would not have been used for conveying members of the Royal Family unless they were at a secure location.

Just guessing though......

Jim

My wife won’t own a green car as apparently they are too unlucky!

Our first LR Disco, a 1992 Tdi, was green and is the only vehicle we have every owned that has been stolen......☹️

Is there anything you've spotted on this one to make you think it's RPG / other ?

Or just a hunch?

Or is it the company who are auctioning it?

Just curious as to your theory...

. Cheers, Greg

No, it’s just a hunch, but I do watch a lot of Columbo during the afternoon.....

I would have to have a poke around to confirm.

The first Rangie I had in the 80s had damage to the roof and bonnet by hailstones and got painted twice because they could not match the rest of the car, the second one I had for two months and was sold as a change of job? unlucky colour Embarassed

The vin number is SALLMAMJ3CA390475
Doesn’t show up any service history on Landrover website, but I think police normally do all serving in-house.
Presumably the full build sheet can be obtained through Topix site.
Aintree green I think. Lovely colour. My most recent D4 was this and I am now a convert to green cars.
Is £15000 the guide price, auction starting price or buy it now?
Cheers Jamie

As a “Job” car it will have been over serviced with oil changes every 6 months or so. If anything mechanical ever needed doing it would have been done immediately using LR parts.

I think that it would be a good buy.
