Greetings, waiting for delivery of a Santorini Black P400e next week, but when I enter the VIN in topix this comes out: less InControl apps... Also, the enclosed screen is quite disturbing... Dealer says true, no InControl and no CarPlay in my country?! Even Skodas have it now... What is going on?

The software in ALL JLR vehicles is miles out of date! My previous 2013 BMW X5 nav, connected drive and ICE was miles better than this slow and clunky offering from JLR!

We buy the fatty because it’s just a luxurious off road limo!

That said, it’s about time JLR got their infotainment in-line with the Germans.

I used to be able to access the vehicle software menu in topix for my 65 plate Supercharged but it always said no information available, now the menu's gone.

After multiple discussions with the dealer and the importer, they are insisting that the InControl option is not available in our country for the P400e, that the price of the car reflects this situation (false) and that the fact that it is mentioned as a standard feature on the site is a mistake. But even in the configurator, these options (InControl Apps, Pro Services, Wi-Fi, Protect, etc.) are mentioned as standard! Now, I am willing to give up on these, but I really would like CarPlay! Google Maps, Spotify and the rest of the cool useful apps... Is there a way to contact the Land Rover official customer service and to persuade them to find a way to install/configure CarPlay? Can CarPlay even work without InControl?

Get your dealer to install Update 18D and it's included in that. Yes, you must have Incontrol I would have thought. All LR cars from 1984

Well, you should have Apple Car play and Android Auto. It came as part of the 18D update!! All LR cars from 1984

There is nothing here...

You should have Carplay showing on the main screen (pic1) and also on the second screen after swiping (pic2). God only knows why the pics keep uploading the wrong way...maybe someone on here knows a fix???

For some reason then it's not included in your region. I should take it up with your dealer again. Do you only have one page on the main screen? What happens if you swipe left or right on the screen? All LR cars from 1984

Contact your dealer and see if it can be added. No reason why it couldn't be I wouldn't have thought unless there is some reason why your country can't get it? Do you have a simcard in the car? All LR cars from 1984

I did. Several times. They say all sorts of things, like it’s not available, because Orange or Vodafone don’t support these features. That, for price reasons, P400e do not include InControl. That there will be an upgrade. Then, that it can’t be upgraded, because parts have not been installed at the factory. I think they just don’t know. That’s why I am trying to contact Land Rover UK. I tried globalcr@jaguarlandrover.com and lradvice@jaguarlandrover.com, but without any response…

There is no sim card slot. Just 2 usb ports in the center console.

That's why you don't have all the Incontrol features. You need a simcard to access them. All LR cars from 1984
