passenger door repair

While driving a friends 2016 fuji white, I noticed someone put a 10" crease/smudge in the passenger front door about 10" (see pic). I took it immediately to the local RR Auto Body shop and got a quote for $6,100 to repair. They said they have to replace the entire door? I realize its aluminum but they are replacing everything. The plastic side louver all moldings, fender liner. It just seems like too much. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thx! Mike

No piccy attached, so can’t see how bad it is - but some creases can often be removed by paint less dent removal if you look at YouTube there are some very surprising repairs possible. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Sorry Vogue, thought I posted the pic will try again. They said something about the inside piece that goes laterally down inside the door and that it might have been bent but the scuff/smudge is so light that I think that it is actually ok. They have to be able to repair these fairly easily as I don't think every time a panel get a dent it has to be replaced in its entirety. Thx! Mike
