If you don’t speed, none of it matters anyway. I tow a heavy caravan for the longer journeys and find that driving at the speed limit or less when not towing, allows me to see more and stop if I see something I like. I have realised it’s much more enjoyable too.

Not heard of that one before Shocked

I get stopped by a hidden guy with a gun around once a year - I keep €90 in cash in the car at all times now. I almost got one today, but spotted him just in time & managed to brake & hide behind another car just long enough - but he stepped out & watched me go by to make a point.

I know it's not big or clever - and the time I save isn't worth it really, but I just can't help myself Embarassed

More like a couple of hours Whistle

On a congested road / motorway, it makes little difference, but when there are no hold ups, every 10mph means 80 miles over 8 hours.

It's the stops that really matter though - that's where you really lose the time - I did one fuel stop - then grabbed some food in the flexi lounge & onto the tunnel Thumbs Up

Rolling with laughter Bow down well done - best I can manage is agreeing that she can go to the loo as long as her shoes are on and she gets out of the car at the same time I do Thumbs Up

So I've just got back home and I have to report no difference whatsoever in traveling by car/caravan in France. I was afforded every courtesy by all that I met and felt no attitude or issues were apparent at all. I had a great time as I always do in France and the people were just as nice and friendly as ever.
Conclusion is don't believe what you read in the papers.
The weather was very changeable so I would like to complain about that!

I’m glad I’m not the only stupid & small one on here. Whistle

Yup La Plod have gone overboard on drivers, not only mobile, but drones now. Will post a pic of a mobile . The speeding fines and petrol prices were a catalyst for the yellow jerseys who have decommissioned quite a lot of static cameras.

FYI the U.K. plod cars have capabilities forward & backwards , probably upside down as well Evil or Very Mad Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...
