On the strength of your one photograph it does actually look exceptionally tidy for £2k. Approved! Thumbs Up

Any issues at all then make an immediate application for manufacturer’s contribution. Mr. Green

Just to edit this with a thought: this thread is exactly why my boss (aka Mrs iLard) insists on a fatty... they are simply timeless and - especially when unmolested - are classy at literally any age. Tesla Model X? Rejected for being a posh Prius when new that will also look about as a cool as a Palm Pilot next to an iPhone in 5 to 10 years.

Mikey, what's it like underneath - it does look pretty clean for the price.

Pass Embarassed

It has a very rusty tailgate, back arches are a little rusty, all 4 corners are scuffed, but that’s not why I bought it

My Disco 3 is off the road (still Big Cry ) and my Freelander is out of MOT on the 25th April, and won’t see another test, so I need something temporary until the Disco is back on the road

Normally, I wouldn’t touch a cheap L322, but this one has had 2x new turbos, 2x new EGR valves, a new torque converter and a full service history. And I know the history of the car, it all motorway miles. So I’m not too concerned Thumbs Up

Well, it lasted less than 72 hours Rolling with laughter

Parked in the workshop on Friday. Key wouldnt turn in the ignition on Monday morning. And it was blocking the only door in and out of the workshop Big Cry

Wheel skids on, and dumped in the corner of the car park. Came in early this morning and set about it. Steering column lock motor failed, and smoking from behind the dash

So the motor was unceremoniously ripped out the column, and the spring drilled out to release the steering lock
Ignition barrel removed, and locking pin removed
Gearshift locking mechanism removed

Key now turns, car starts, selects gears and drives again

Total cost = £0

Thumbs Up
