3.6 TDV8 Exhaust Manifold blowing

Hi again, so yet another 'common' problem. My TDV8 is blowing from the NS exhaust manifold Rolling Eyes

Is there anyway of doing the manifold replacement and inevitable stud replacements without a lift..?

It can be done roadside, but it's not much fun...

In what sense? Access? No room? Have you done this job?

If it's really tight, I worry about being able to drill out sheared studs...

Turbo and manifold have to come off
Which requires front diff and subframe removal
And also steering rack off

It’s not a job for the feint hearted

Certainly makes things easier...

Be glad it's an L322. The RRS requires body off, and a fair bit of stripping
