I guess with any cars that are older (even well looked after), you'll be spending a good few K each year on upkeep, servicing and repairs anyway.

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Tonga Green

My Vogue TDV8 has 149k miles on the clock...124k when I bought it. It has been no more expensive to keep than much lower mileage 'normal' cars. Mileage with our cars bothers me far less than condition and a detailed service history...and I do not mean just LR's service history...a good independent can make a world of difference! The fact that this car has got to this mileage suggests it has been well looked after. That all said...the price is more than i would want to pay?

It’s very cheap for a 64 plate car. Although the mileage wouldn’t put me off so as much as the “Overfinch” badge. A once highly respected Range Rover performance enhancer, reduced to marketing tacky aftermarket body kits Big Cry

The 4.4L SDV8 L405 are impressively long-lasting, some here have over 175K miles and there are even non-member owners running +200.000 miles ones with original engine and Gbox. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

I personally wouldn’t worry about the mileage. Only thing that worries me with buying high mileage cars is come selling time everyone wants it for nothing.

I have a van that’s got over 250k on the clock but the only thing that’s original is the body. I’ve spent so much money on it I will run it into the ground rather than sell it for what someone is going to wanna give.

I think it may have gone now anyway. But, there seem to be plenty of L405’s, that haven’t been cosmetically messed about with, with 90-120,000 miles, for only £2-3,000 more.

The biggest disadvantage of these sorts of mileages is that no, relatively reputable, warranty company will offer any significant cover on it Sad

another catch with high mile cars is that they cost the same to insure as a low-mile car.

. Cheers, Greg

And when it comes to p/x you get royally kicked in the proverbials. £4000 for my 08 TDV8 with 155000 miles.

Thanks for the replys !

What are the look out items gearbox, turbos?

Is it a good idea OF body kit excluded to buy such a high milage vehicle Vs spending a little more on a car with 50k miles or even 80k miles?

Just for reference that car with 50k on the clock is being sold by Saxton's for almost 50k !!!!
