radio dead l322 SC 2012

Dear reader,
Wish you a good day at first; I have a l322 2012 SC.I faced a small problem while using the car two days ago but I haven’t got any clues how to do it.
The radio just stopped working and the power button keeps blinking but everything in the radio features is dead no radio, nav, etc. it’s just dead.
I haven’t checked the fuses yet cause I don’t like to mess around. I like to do organized correct work.
If anyone can help me in this issue and what to do or where to check I will be very grateful. I’m desperate for any clues guys, and this is one car you don’t wana mess around and investigate. Anybody who faced this earlier in such late model their advice is much appreciated.
Got some clues that it might be the AMP, but also heard that it’s a programmable part. I don’t know whether the same part if removed and fitted again to be programmed or new parts only to be programmed. Plzzzz help. This was chit chat with someone I met the other day.

To be honest. The best thing to do is check the fuses first. It could be something as simple as that. If that doesn't solve your issue, come back and let people know. Then others can start to make suggestions. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

Worth testing your battery too.

Hi guys,
Thanks for every one's reply. I have checked the fuses, their all fine.
For the blinking matter it always blinks from before so an indicator that the radio is on and ready to use.
Any more clues plz. Big Cry

Water ingress in the left rear cubby hole. All the electronics are in there. Check pin connections and the circuit boards for water damage and clean as needed. 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

Hi every one for the concern of.mositure from the cubby no worries cause we don't have such a high moisture like Europe specially these days and even though my car stays in covered garage.

Guys do u thing the same problem of the bluetooth like in 2007 edition might be happening in my case. Cause I have the fiber optic cables in my car too.

What do u think everyone....plz advice.

It will cost you nothing but a small amount of time to find out. Do the bypass as desribed in wiki.

Guys just a question plz,
For the battery reset, I how to do the battery reset thing.
A lot of people put there own ways there if any one who knows a proper way to do then,
I will be very greatful. Also bare in mind somhting.....there is a tag under the hood showing
An icon for removing the battery and says 120 sec. What does it mean like the car will lose
its programming after 120 sec.
And even though what type of memory will be lost. Like radio channels and all .ok engine data calibration for balancing and economy where in normal
cars computer gets it from start up. Plz advice guys like how to do and what would be lost and does it need reprogramming from the iid tool or what plz help.... Big Cry

unlock the car, open the bonnet -- leave the car for 10-15-20 mins until all system have gone to 'sleep'

Disconnect the battery +ve and -ve -- then hold the cables together to 'short' the system -- 30 seconds to 1 minute should be ok, reconnect and away you go!

Hi everyone,
Bro thanks for ur message but do u mean literally shortening the positive and negative together....really ....like sorry but I never heard any one done this earlier to any car. I mean see any system in any car will have internal charge even if it's a little charge so shortening might if it's not frying the board it might cause a damage to it. See capacitors and some of the components will save the charge. So this will heart those components. See this is as far as I know....if you have done this procedure previously to ur car or any one else plz advice.

Yes -- short the cables together -- don't short the battery terminals!

Bro one thing more plz kindly,
From ur babilography I got to know ur car is a diesel type if I'm.not mistaken. My car is gasoline type.....would the internal systems in both be literally way different like as I know gasoline engines will have more computers for the ignitions and park controls and timings etc... and gadgets will be more then the diesel types....like as I know diesel engines are more mechanical types right ...just asking.
