Boost Leak / Loud Spooling / P0046 Fault Code on 2004 TD6

I have upgraded the hoses to silicone hoses, checked, and rechecked every connection, deleted the EGR valve, and now my car sounds like it has a lorry turbo spooling up, it is loud. Particularly when accelerating at around 1500 rpm.

The old pipes from the EGR to intercooler and from the intercooler to the Turbo had melted themselves on in places, so had to remove the excess pipes. Now I am at a loss.

I used the search function on this site and nothing came up.

Cheers.

Recheck all connections and the connectors on the intercooler, I had two come hose’s come loose 1) from the intercooler, the snap clip not securely connected. 2) hose connecting to the turbo jubilee clip had come loose and sucking in air. 2004 Autobiography TD6 Java Black

I am now getting P0046 as a fault. This only happens if it floor it. Would a boost leak potentially come from this if I have accidentally pulled a vacuum pipe off? Don’t know if I have or not, no idea where this device is either Rolling Eyes

For future reference for anyone else who didn't get an answer to this question, my leak was from a braded vacuum hose, so the split was hidden. So if all your other main hoses are definitely tight, then check the vaccum hoses, or better yet, just replace them all. I am now in the process of replacing them all gradually.
