Rear Brake Caliper- Groundhog Day

Well. I'm waiting for LRAssist as my NS rear brake caliper stuck on coming home from work.

Utterly sick of this now just want to torch the b@stard.

Probably have another week driving a Censored Vulva or similar.

Had BMW's for years and they just work. Got this thing and feel like topping myself.

ARGH!!! Sh|tty Ford rubbish

/rant.

Aren't the brake calipers from BMW? Not sure you should be reading this bit.

I think the rears are from Netto.

Front Brembo's are so far awesome.

Not sure about the BMW callipers as most of the other RR's I've known have never had issues 02-05 reg. something has to be different. If they are still BMW on the MY06 then they clearly aren't fit for purpose.

Any way it's being recovered at 10:00 tomorrow so I'll talk to the $tealer. think I stopped moving before the disc got through the thermal trans point- sure they'll try and make me buy the third set of discs in <18months.

Perhaps I was comparing apples with donkeys given that the BMWs I had were all a lot lighter. In any case it doesn't help either the situation or my mood with the big overpriced bastard If it was a horse I'd have shot the Censored . On the silver lining side i've had a shyt load of stuff replaced FoC on the warranty...

Thanks for the condolences Stan. Thumbs Up

Steve.

I had nearside rear caliper problem causing the brakes to bind LR assist fitted a new caliper FOC in the car park at work.

Job only took an hour and that included nipping down the road to collect a new caliper top service from LR Assist

Great service! The LR assist guy who came to me was a nice guy but I was his last call at 19:15 he immediately said he'd get it recovered.

The garage haven't even looked at it yet- I called them at 16:00 8 hours after recovery but they were too busy to look at it. Christ knows when it will be on the ramps and then I BET they'll try and charge me for a new set of brakes.
