been messing about
it seems the TV works on the head unit but nothing on the units behind the seats, our TV is digital so cant get a picture but the screen is all grainy, so i suppose its working as best it can.
the screens behind the seats, the left one says no signal, if i tap the screen, the only option is DVD, i tap DVD and it goes back to no signal
the right one seems dead
when radio is selected the radio goes on and of every few seconds
when selecting CD, the first time i tried it, it said it couldn't find the CD
the next day i tried it and it worked, like the radio, it goes on and off every few seconds.
looking in the back, i found some other gadgets, theirs heaps of wires going all over the place.
i puled the plug out of the top black box and lost the radio, plugged it back in but no radio
i should have turned the ignition off first but my mind was else ware
i have put the battery on charge, an other exciting day tomorrow RR 2005 4.4 petrol

Wow, good luck looks like you've had a tinkerer there. loads of non-standard stuff. Have you downloaded the manuals and stuff from the Wiki, there is a tone of info and probably pics so you can see what the original kit should be.

One drawback of the original is that at the age your car is it wouldn't have digital TV anyhow, There are update bits available. I guess it depends how much the functionality it worth to you.

Good luck playing anyhow! New battery was a good start definitely these things are so voltage sensitive. Thumbs Up Formerly happymadison1978

i have been trying to find out how to use the screens on the head rests, i have looked in Wiki and a heap of youtube programs but the head screens are all different to mine.
on the head screen i only have the choice of radio/TV/CD
on the rear screen i have only DVD as a source
i see in Wiki there is a list of BT units numbers, as they go through the years
can they all be updated with the last one RR 2005 4.4 petrol

the radio has never worked properly, goes on and off every couple of seconds
after looking around the net, i see a fix is by joining the two coaxial cables together.
if this fixes the fault, then it is the BT unit.
i did that and it fixed the problem, radio/CD worked fine.
i took the BT unit out and found some terminals were green with corrosion.
i bought some cleaner and tried to clean it up, just by spraying the cleaner on the parts.
i put it all together
i thought i new which coaxial cable went where
when i turned it on, all i got was the land rover picture on the head set, no radio, nothing
when i looked at the coaxial cable, there is no light, it had a light there before
any ideas
thanks RR 2005 4.4 petrol

tried the car to day
turned the ignition on and the coaxial cable was flashing.
plugged them to gether and every thing worked fine
i thought i had fried some thing.
now i want to put it all back together and see if it works, now that i have tried to clean the contacts
i wondered if some one could look on there vehicle and tell me which cable goes where in the plug
one cable comes from a box and the other cable goes to the front of the vehicle i think
thanks
