Wheelarch Rust.

The FF is booked into the body shop in a few weeks time for a respray of the car but not the roof. This was the best option after we had checked each panel, bumper and bonnet and found nearly every one needed some paintwork from scratched to stone chips.

I was prompted to visit the body shop thanks to you guys pointing out the rear wheel arch rust issue and whilst I was there things just snowballed. But this is a one man band I know is great at bodywork so the total price is an absolute bargain.

The guy has suggested that I somehow retrofit something that will stop the wheelarch problem reoccurring. I have read through lots of your posts on the different solutions and wondered how they were going and, if you were to be given a second chance, would you do the same or different?

I know from my Freelander days they fitted the trim covers but they fell of after a while. I would be very interested what you all think before I folk out on a solution.

Many thanks in advance.
Andy

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Zermatt Silver

I had mine done last year with Bilt Hamber Deox rust remover and then Electox zinc primer and topped off with a stone chip paint. I then put on these edge protectors which are superb - they are all rubber so wont rust or curl like the LR ones do in time.
