Rear arch/ bumper repair DIY

So decided to have a go at repairing and painting the rear arch and a bumper scuff on the drive using spray cans
Bumper off left the mud guards on as I was working alone and wanted something to support the big heavy bumper a few 10 mm around the arches and 10 -8mm bolts at the back 5 up 5 down and off came the flimsy light bumper
So now the job begins
I needed to get rid of this

80 grit some filler and kurust I ended up here

It was then all flatted off and primed and masked off ready for paint

Base coat and clear added ending with this

Now came the bumper scuff

Flatted off primed painted and clear coated

Refitted everything and it just needs polished and waxed
All in all it's not perfect but I think it looks

a lot better and now everything is back in placed I may even do it again as one complete job and iron out the imperfections

Nice one. Looks so much better now and hopefully you've stopped the rot spreading any further. Current: FF Westminster money pit

Hi nice job but I have had a similar issue with both rear arches that started to show signs of bubbling paint. This is a common issue with the L322 as they rot from the inside out due to a crap design the water and debris gets trapped under the inner wheel arch lip hence why they eventually rot from the inside out. I have had all the rot cut out of mine as this is the only way as I had mine rubbed down and treated on 2 occasions which only lasted a matter of months so complete waste of time and money. Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 SDV8 SVO Stying Pack
