Out of interest is the a specific dog guard for executive seats or can you fit this but lose the reclining option?

How intrusive is this into the boot? ie how much room does it take up from the boot? - it looks a quality piece of kit but worried it is massively over engineered - we have a large dog so he needs all the room he can get.

thanks

It fits flush against the back of the rear seats and headrests, so doesn’t intrude much. Our dog’s small enough that it’s not necessary- we just clip the lead on

OK thanks. One more thing. In your photos, the rear seats are not in the fully reclined position and seem quite vertical. Does the dog guard prevent the seats from going into the fully reclined position ? - the four thick black right angled brackets halfway up appear to push the seat forward???

We have a young child so a car seat is fitted which needs the seats in the fully reclined position.

thanks

Hi again
No, the seats don’t recline fully, per the photos.

Don’t forget that you will need to remove both side panels in the boot to access the brackets bolted to the sides of the car.
Theses are the brackets that the top mount brackets are bolted to (all that is visible of them is two round threaded bits of metal sticking out of the carpeted panels.
Without these the guard is pretty useless.

I’ve just fitted a new dog guard to mine and these were a pain in the arse to fit.

Daz 2008 RRS HST - loved the car from 6 months old until a few years old
2009 Disco HSE - nice and practical alternative when I needed the space.
VW T5 Transporter - mid life crisis perhaps
2017 FFRR 4.4AB - best car I’ve ever owned
