L405 replacement lettering

Hi all, i got replacement lettering for front and rear ' RANGE ROVER', the template didnt fit over original lettering so i googled abit and found that Powerful Uk state only their lettering will fit an L405 as the letters have a slight curve. Can any one confirm this please , the letters i have are from Demon tweaks and are listed for the 405. 2015 4.4 AB

Can’t you hold one of the letters against the car and compare to what’s on there for curvature ?

Thanks for the reply , letters look perfect but really dont want to start changing and then finding out the are not correct. Powerful seem to be fairly good but i cant see this curve mentioned anywhere else. I would have bought powerful ones but they are out of stock for the next few weeks so bought these ones and when template didnt fit it got me wondering and then i googled it and saw Powerfuls comments on the curve. Thanks again 2015 4.4 AB

Do DT have different part numbers for L405 & L322 ?

What Powerful are saying makes some sense I guess, the L405 boot seems more rounded both horizontally & vertically - but then again, doesn’t seem so much that a single letter would need much curve......

Sorry I can’t be of any actual help Laughing

Thanks Stan , it's more the actual letters and their curvature that I'm concerned with , I'm looking to see if the part numbers are the same for L322 and L405 or if anyone on here had fitted the Demon tweaks letters which are sold as l405 ones. The template they sent was just the tip off. Thank you for the input sir. ( as always ) 2015 4.4 AB

I used the Powerful UK set.

Easy to fit, good quality, correct curves in all directions, one third the price from LR.

Recommended.

I have a spare set of letters from Powerful UK - never fitted and still with the backing 3m tape in tact, but sadly no template as I ended up using the original letters again

They are the silver OEM look ones for an L405 .
It's better to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission ......... apparently!

Scotland 2014 Range Rover Vogue SDV6 Santorini Black

Resurrecting an old thread although suspect the topic must be current because Powerful UK are out of stock of silver ones... two of our tailgate ‘Range Rover’ letters are starting to tarnish. Based on good reviews for a fraction of the ‘genuine’ cost Powerful UK ones, was going to buy a set... but sold out 🤷

Unless anyone has a top tip for removing and re-spraying the existing ones (ie what silver paint to use)?

Thanks

Just ordered front and rear silver RR letters from Powerful UK. It’s taken them months to get them back in stock. £48 front and rear including delivery. Their email notification system is good for out of stock items coming back in stock 👍🏻

Does anyone know if it’s really necessary to also buy the £17 existing lettering removal and prep kit?

I’ve changed my lettering a few times now on various fatty’s.

The Powerful UK templates are from a Sport so never fit a fatty.

Never used their removal kit.

I have rolls of 3M detail tape, basically low tack masking tape.
I mark off the letters first with that then using fishing line or you can use dental floss use it to remove the badges.

Then use an automotive tar & glue remover to soak and remove the sticky tape residue.

Quick clean and buff then apply the lettering using your masking tape as the guide, remove the masking tape quick buff and polish and your done.
