Bit of trim

Does anyone know how to get the bit of trim that runs above the rear number plate and below the lettering Range Rover. I seem to have got three strange marks appeared, I would like to remove this bit of trim and repaint it.

It’s stuck on with 3m tape. Thumbs Up

Just warm it up gently and pull it off....

Remove any excess sticky with a toffee wheel. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Just replaced mine today. Left the car parked up facing the sun, 10 mins later the trim popped off easily with some gentle persuasion. Same with the tape left behind. A quick polish to remove the residue and a wipe with IPA and ready for the replacement to be installed.

I bought mine from Powerful UK. For some reason it isn't flat but bowed and it wouldn't stick on with the supplied tape as the bow is so pronounced, so I ended up using impact adhesive and some bulldog clips....

I think it costs about £30 and is a pretty good match for colour but why it's not straight like the original is beyond me. Mine was stained like yours.

On closer inspection on my old one, it looks like the lacquer has failed on mine leaving a few discoloured patches. Current: FF Westminster money pit

A toffee wheel is an attachment for a drill that you can use to easily remove adhesive etc from paintwork, without the need for all the elbow grease.

I got a new one for my TD6 from Land Rover, and they only made them in the lighter silver colour on the later models.... I ended up with an old one from Cam Tech Craig as it correctly matched the Range Rover lettering colour.
