Air Suspension ECU

Hi All

Does anyone know if I replace the Air suspension ECU on a 2003/4 l322, with an identical one whether it needs programming to the car in a special way.

I have hawkeye, so can do some things with that, but wondered if it can only be programmed with testbook or similar.

Cheers

Have you confirmation that the ECU needs replacing, usually the last thing on the list that creates problems with EAS ?

To answer your question, iirc, no, should just be a straight swap (but see my sig...) .

Thanks Joe90.

Not 100% sure it needs replacing, but hawkeye cant communicate with it (canbus error reading faults and unable to clear codes) and all the other systems are now o.k (such as abs etc).

I can also hear the pump working and the car levelling off o.k, which adds to the weirdness, but I have no manual control on the dash to raise/lower etc and an Air suspension fault message on the (now working) dash.

If it doesn't need fancy coding or similar, I could swap the one from our TD6 into it and see if it helps, but if it does need coding, its not going to help at all.

Sounds like you have a hard fault which needs clearing.

Have you tried a battery disconnection procedure with terminal touching.

If not you may need something other than a hawkeye to see if you can connect up ? .
