L405 inspection

Hi, all I'm looking to take the plunge into l405 ownership but want a pre purchase inspection done.

The car is a 3.0 diesel and the various discussions around belts and crankshafts worry me slightly so I want to pay for an inspection before I buy it.

Anyone used a service like this? Am I better using a warranty company or are they not worth the paper their written on?

Any help would be great

Find a Land Rover Indy.

I paid for an RAC inspection, very thorough, pricey to match no complaints...

But I'd have learnt a whole lot more if I'd been able to find a specialist.

The practical issue is once you find a car, you need an indy not to far from the seller.
And not all Indys will offer a pre-purchase inspection.

Good luck Cheers, Greg

I don't trust these AA/RAC inspection types. Reason being my fully inspected and passed as completely fine, 5 star condition, everything checked and working L322 broke down on the way home from purchase and hasn't been right since.

If I was doing it again, I'd try to find someone who really knows RRs, an indy or very knowledgeable friend/colleague with a diag tool. 09 RR Westminster 3.6TDV8 - Stornoway Grey / Black interior - now gone (sad face)
