What is it worth L322, 2007

Good morning men!
I have a 2007, Vogue SE, 3.6 L322 Range Rover. Unfortunately, my son borrowed this beauty and somehow managed to seize the engine! When I looked there was no oil left inside the engine, and it makes a 'clunk' sound when I try to start it with a full battery and refilled with oil. My man thinks that it may be that the front crank oil seal has failed. It has 133,680 miles on the clock and has all of the usual SE refinements ( sat nav, rear and front sensors, Venture Cam, heated seats throughout, heated steering wheel, privacy glass, blue leather seats, armrests, etc. I am not in a financial position to buy a new/2nd hand engine and have it fitted. So reluctantly, I was wondering what sort of money is it worth as it stands? Big Cry
It will need to be transported away, so I presume that will also have to be taken into account.
Thank you for your time. 'Knowledge Is Power'

No idea really, i dont think there is much appetite for putting cash into these as they are not worth alot especially with high mileage.

My guess is you will be lucky to get £1500.00

If its a good car can you not garage it and start saving?

I had fears that it would only be worth that amount mate. It seems remarkably low considering the cost of the spares for the beast. If only had a place to store/break it, then it would make financial sense, but alas, I dont Sad
Cheers for your reply. 'Knowledge Is Power'

I may be wrong, maybe try a few garages and ask if they want it, sometime these guys want a car to work on and turn around

A friend of mine has very similar situation, best offer he's had is £1000, not sure from where but seems there are plenty of them about so not worth much as parts.

Hope you can get more. RR Vogue TDV8 Grey/Black

Gee Whiz, Paul, you have good memory! That old TD6 sat on a motorway services area for 3 weeks until I got back from holidays ! He is a bloody jinx where motors are concerned!!! Jinx or a moron, his mum chooses the former option! Censored Censored Censored Censored 'Knowledge Is Power'

Someone on here replaced an engine & turbos on a later 3.6TDV8 for £5k+labour.
With an replacement engine it's probably worth £6k ish at those miles & age.
Ergo £1~2 k for current state ?

There's already a lot being broken up for parts & I doubt they're paying much for the vehicles unfortunately.
It's not like the older non RR models where lots of people want lots of the different parts. Paul,

Cheers Pawl.
I am beginning to wander what is the point of having such a glorious motor car that costs £millions to keep smart but worth B-all when things go wrong Sad
I think that your £2K -ish valuation isn't far off.

I would be very cautious about spending much to fix the engine unless you know that everything else is in good order and you want to keep it. A mate of mine recently tried to sell a very well maintained 140k 2007 VSE for £4K after being offered <£3k as a part ex and £3k from WBAC. After 2 months of timewasters and no serious offers I’ve bought it off him to use as a second car simply because it was so cheap.
I think £6k repaired is a bit optimistic

I'm surprised nobody's developed a conversion kit for these yet so an alternative (cheaper) engine can be fitted.

An American LS or something would be ideal.
