GAP IID Restricted Performance or problem but no error code?

Got a Gap IID?

I've had one for two years now and not at all a pro user. Never been in some of the menus. Just used it for a few things like edit the CCF file. I also use it to monitor my DPF.

But when something goes a bit wrong, as any IID owner knows, it's worth it's weight in gold.

Well yesterday I had a splutter then it went into restricted mode.

I read the faults and nothing showed up. No faults. But how can that be?
i've got a fault and it was significant enough to trigger Restricted Performance. But no error.

So I emailed Pat @ Gap Diagnostics...

Normally, if you don't shut the engine down and you read faults with the proper files, it will show up. Menu--Faults--Advanced, select Confirmed and Pendings.

And sure enough, I was now able to get an error code.

So if you ever have a Restricted Performance but no error code, try this.

Thanks Pat GAP! Cheers, Greg
