Center console gas strut

The OE parts seem NLA, so has anyone found a replacement for FWY000020 for the early cars ?
US eBay has a part it claims replaces this, but was hoping to find one that doesn't take weeks to get here and ends up costing near $100. Struts 5 times the size for the tailgate are like £10 each...
Thanks

If you're willing to take the console lid apart first, you should be able to take length measurements & identify the Force spec which will be marked on the strut.
BTW the OE supplier was German company Stabilus, so another option is to see if the Stabilus part no. is on your strut & find a local supplier who will probably identify an equivalent. Paul,

Cheers. I did find a thread on another RR forum which does list the part number for Stabilus, but doesn't relate to anything else I don't think.
Thought I'd ask here first before pulling it all apart and perhaps finding there isn't one available. Plus the car is at the body shop and trying to order a few bits for its return.
I've sent a few emails to some UK suppliers with the part number, so hopefully they may be able to cross-reference it and help.

Thanks

Have you tried www.sgs-engineering.com/gas-struts ?
I've had some oddball struts from them and I recall them being very reasonable on price

Yep, they are one of those I emailed.
Only one reply so far and they were unable to get any reference from the part numbers as to an equivalent or determine sizes etc.
Cheers

Cheers. That is the place selling on US eBay which I had seen. By the time you add shipping and import tax, one strut come out at near $100.
I was thinking it would be a generic size available here for cheap, but seems not. Drawn a blank for all UK suppliers.

That's a shame. I've orders parts from Island 4x4 cheaper than here with shipping and ..... oh wait. No tax.
