Gents,
I have got both the 2010/12 L322 and the L405 Workshop Manuals loaded on to my iPad mini in the form of many hundreds of PDF’s.
I understand that from a laptop I can upload the URL to my gallery for adding PDF’s info in reply to posts, but trying to upload a PDF to my gallery from my iPad is blowing a fuse in my brain.
Please can some iPad expert teach me how it is done.

I am on holiday at present soaking up the rays in my deckchair, so now is the perfect time for me learn,

Can you add an image to your gallery, when in your gallery, from your ipad ?

If so, it follows you can add a pdf ?

(You may need to be viewing the "desktop site" to do this) .

pdf's are treated like photos and are uploaded into your main gallery ...you dont upload via your post like a normal pic...

when its in your gallery you find it and click on it...you then copy and paste the url onto your post......simples  ... - .- -.

I have added hundreds of photos, mainly using the new method, but also using the old upload method.
The problem really is that I can’t add PDF’ s to my iPad photos to then select to add to either posts or my gallery.
It’s an iPad problem not site problem.

Don’t call me simples

I have even tried emailing them to myself , then opening and trying to find a way but still failed.
I use the desktop site on my iPad and I have loaded the mobile site on to my iPhone but still can’t find a way.

I use my IPad pro, which I upgraded to IOS 13 when it was still beta.

Let me try and upload PDFs from it. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

I have just spent another couple of hours trying to find a solution by downloading one at a time one of the many PDF apps in the Apple store, hoping to find a way to store one in my photos, so that I could then upload it to my gallery....
Result ... another brain fuse blown.. I have sent Martin a PM as a final desperate hope to find a solution.
2 glasses of red wine later... the screen is getting blurry

Hic ....what’s a PDF ??

My favourite part of the day, watching the sun go down with a glass of Baileys, and it’s still 24c.

You could convert your pdf files to jpeg format and then post the jpeg images to your gallery as normal. ( I think)

I tried the jpeg conversion method yesterday, but rejected it.
I downloaded a free app from the store, but when I converted a 16 page PDF from the L 405 W.M. It converted into 16 separate jpegs which were no easier to read than if I just take a screenshot of individual pages and upload them to my gallery.
I would soon get expelled from the forum , imagine how many individual PDF ‘s are in the W.M. and most are multi-page., but no point posting info that is very difficult to read.
