Westfalia tow bar for L322 - model year differences

I’m trying to source one of these second hand but I’m confused if all model years are same or not, before I buy one that doesn’t fit!

On pfjones website one is suitable for 05 - 09. Link : 05-09

The other is 02 to 09. Link :02-09

They look the same but are there differences? It’s to go on a ‘07 4.2. In other words can I get one off a bmw engined car and it’ll fit ok?

Thanks for any help! '57 Vogue SE 4.2 Supercharged

there are a couple of small difference relating to the exhaust hangers, so its not fettling free to make an early bar to fit on an 07.

have a search on here as its been covered a few times and off the top I can't remember exactly what the differences are. I think the fundamental bolt holes etc are in the same place though. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Not sure about the actual main carrier but wiring is different , late ones are dead easy , 1 plug to connect behind the spare wheel and away you go .

Bit different on an 07, you need a fag packet module which goes in the drivers side rear cubby. all pretty plug and play. The later cars are even easier as said There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I thought it was only the 4.4 TDV8s that were different? Or are they the same as the 3.6 TDV8s (and different to the original ones)?

I've been idly looking for one too, but have also been put off by the difficulty in deciding if it's the correct one or not. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

The 4.4 TDV8 is different, can't comment on the 3.6 -- I had the older version on my 4.4 TDV8, and just used the hangers from the strengtheners -- that's what I have for sale, so would fit both Wink Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
