First time owner, want to refresh the car, looking for tips

Greetings! Long story short unintentionally I've purchased a LHD 2003 TD6 l322. I knew nothing about the car, well, at all, but I loved it from the first test drive, obviously.

The car was hugely under serviced, neglected, repaired with sticky type etc. etc. etc. It was so bad that at some point I was really considering get another one & sell this one or keep for spares. Then I realized it would be tough to sell the l322 without EAS, front climate, low gear & couple dozens other minors not working. Same reasons meant no much use in keeping it for spares.

So I've decided to cure it.

So far managed to get EAS working with 3 sensors replacement & calibration (Rear Right still sends bad "offset" value, while voltage is ok, I blame harness). Replaced the battery.

So. Happy to be a member of this community, read this forum a lot, especially while struggling with EAS.
Right now I'm looking for an advice on what to change/replace without even looking at it, considering the car was under looked & most parts still dated with 2002.

This what I want to order:
- 4 hoses for turbo to intercooler and intercooler to inlet manifold. Long one (I guess) is whistling when releasing accelerator pedal. Are those silicone ones from ebay anyhow good?
- Turbo oil feed pipe (PNH000090) - this one leaks, right on the AT;
- Rear height sensor wiring plug repair kit (YMQ503220). My harness is 6 pin, ebay kits are 3 pin - will they work? The car is 2003 and I'm not sure if it is trained to get height data from EAS ECU for headlights;
- Modified crankcase breather oil separator filter (11127799367) - haven't checked yet but highly doubt the blue one was replaced;
- Catalytic converter (BM80351H) - mine BMW one got very rough welding signs on it so I'm sure it's empty inside, and it smells like that;
- GM 5 oil & filter (6 Liters Liqui Moly Top Tec 1200 ATF Fluid);
- EGR removal & blanking plate kit (EBAY URL since no part #);
- Transfer box oil Castrol BOT 26 FMB1 Fully Synthetic Transfer Case Oil (STC4861);
- Front & Rear differential oil Castrol Syntrax Longlife 75W90 Fully Synthetic Diff Oil (154F09) x2

Is there anything I need to replace right now and without even looking at it? The car got a lot of problems, but I don't want to start generating numerous threads before I replace the stuff & some of those problems go away.

What I've ordered so far & waiting for delivery to replace:
FRONT suspension:
Upper Control Arm Right LR018343
Upper Control Arm Left LR018344
Lower Control Arm x2 RBJ500920
Upper Ball Joint x2 RBK500210
Upper Control Arm Bushing x2 LR018345
Lower Control Arm Bushing x2 RBX000070
Stabilizer Link x2 LR030047

REAR suspension:
Upper Control Arm Bushing x4 RGX000080
Upper Bushing x2 RHF000260
Knuckle Lower Bushing x2 LR032644
Lower Control Arm Front Bushing x2 RGX000060
Lower Control Arm Rear Bushing x2 RGX000071
Lateral Arm x2 RGD500180
Stabilizer Link x2 LR030048
Suspension Cross-Member Front Bushing x2 KHC000060
Suspension Cross-Member Rear Bushing x2 KHC000050

Thanks in advance!

Having been down a similar route I would not start throwing money at it, if it aint broke leave well alone. Having said that unless you know past history NUMBER ONE thing to do, Change the gearbox oil and filter. Then change the oil breather to vortex type. Remove the EGR and fit a Blank/ Bypass kit, Transfer box oil, front-rear diff oil. If the engine takes forever to get to operating temp check the EGR thermostat. 2007 TDV8 VSE

Thanks for your reply! Generally I understand what you mean about not touching stuff that doesn't cause problems, but the whole bunch of suspension parts is needed, the car makes so much squeaks that I don't even have to call my wife for her to understand I'm back. Same with air intake hoses, they produce whistling noise; oil feed pipe leaks straight on the gearbox which could potentially do harm (and nobody likes oil leaks); missing catalytic conv is just wrong & I can't stand the smell. Vortex oil breather already on my list, but I've added everything else you've mentioned.

Now, all gearbox "servicing kits" have 6 liters of oil, but I thought Gm5l40e reqires 9 liters?

Previous owner said he replaced the oil recently, but he really could replace only the oil, without the filter, plus judging by the car's condition I'm not confident he did. I better change & know I did. But, I have no clue which oil is in there right now & I definitely don't want to mix two different type fluids...

6 ltrs is enough for emptying the sump and changing the filter. You can flush the torque converter through the cooler lines to get more out. Someone posted only last week on how to do that. A BMW x5 e53 uses the same box so has the same gasket and filter. here is a link.. https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic52923.html 2007 TDV8 VSE

Ok, I got your point. But there’s still a lot of those cars running nicely plus I’ve had a 2003 e53 x5 m57 before, so am familiar with the config. Unfortunately in two years I had no problems with it except died generator & pulley. Thats why basically I’ve started this thread: to get the list of stuff to change from more experienced members, replace everything & keep the car running for a couple more years. Worth to mention that m57 is the cheapest of all RR motors on the second hand market, you cant buy a v8 for £500.

P.S.: I am not familiar with the representer and not a native speaker to identify accents, but since he's hailing Toyotas & Hondas I may suppose he's American, hence he's talking about m62 petrol powered L322's, not m57 TD6's.

Height sensor harness

Contact dan at Duckworths (forum sponsor) with your VIN to get the correct harness, I am pretty certain you can't mix and match the 6 pin with the 3 pin.

Gearbox Oil

Change the oil and filter, check condition of oil coming out, if black with burnt smell, and lots of shiny metal flecks, be concerned. (£2k+ for replacement gearbox). If not as bad as above then suggest do another oil change after about 500 miles to get more new oil in. Make sure oil is at the correct temperature when setting fill level.

Other

Grease and lubricate you gear selector rod linkage (right hand side of gearbox) .
