Possible new amp

So my car had a water leak. Which was found as a result of pulling over to check the electronics compartment after I started the car up one morning and out of the blue like literally overnight my speakers started making the worst crackling / buzzing high pitched noise ever.

Water leak has been found and fingers crossed fixed.

The parking aid and a few components near the front of the compartment were wet but when checked by the tech the amp was dry. Also iPod inspection the rear d pillar speaker was found to be extremely tartly so that has been replaced.

Now I’m still waiting to hear if the audio system is still crackling etc. I’m hoping that the rear d pillar speaker was wet and this was causing a short etc creating the noise.

If the noise has not gone then it might be new amp time.

Question is where do I get one? The new price is crazy.

Also what’s the part number ? Regards

Daz

Dazza.
Hopefully it's not naffed, but just a thought. It maybe worth calling them to ask them for the part number off the old unit. Perhaps they haven't put it all back together yet? 2006 4.2 SC

Ok so, as I type I’m sat in the main dealer.

Been here for 2 and a bit hours now.

Water leak has been fixed. Amplifier has been updated all seemed good so me and the tech went for a test drive and speakers all sounded good pulled back into the dealer car park and thought I’d test the DVD player.

Oh it’s not working. Pulled it back into the workshop and found to be loose connection. Great easy fix. Pulled away and though hold on I’m gonna test Bluetooth hands free.

Guess what not working.

I’m wondering if the module needs updating after the amp update?

Trying a hard reset as we speak but I think it will need updating.

Anyone with any knowledge please let me know lol.

UPDATE:: hard reset seems to have fixed it. Fingers crossed all ok now. Just my wallet that took a hit. Regards
