Seat memory not linked to key fobs?

My 2014 5.0 AB adjusts the mirrors to each personalised setting when using key fob 1 & 2, but not the seats. I thought this was a fault but my dealer tells me the car is not capable of this. This seems remarkable, can someone confirm this please?

Thanks.

...Jon,

Unfortunately your dealer is correct.

I spent a long time arguing with mine - I was absolutely convinced that such a good feature would not have been discontinued with the L405, but it seems to be so.

Were memory seat settings linked to the key fobs on the L322 then?? 2010 Range Rover TDV8 Baltic Blue Autobiography (2011 MY) - SOLD Sad

Yes - they were great especially when you're different heights.

Open the car with 'your' fob & by the time you opened the door, the seat was in the right place.

It doesn't seem hugely complicated to implement & was incredibly useful.

Does seem to be a bit daft that this feature was lost.
Wife and I are two very different heights so was good that seats moved as you walked towards the car.
Suspect it could be down to the keyless entry as you might both have your keys on you so car won’t know who is driver and who is passenger.

I would prefer to turn off the key less entry and link each fob to the seat memory.

This may be a silly question, but how do you link each key to a different memory? We have set up a couple of memory settings but how does the RR know which key is for which memory? Question 2010 Range Rover TDV8 Baltic Blue Autobiography (2011 MY) - SOLD Sad

It’s tied to the fob by which one is used to open and lock the vehicle. So you unlock with remote, adjust seats, save to the memory and lock car. Next time it is opened with that fob those setting adjust back automatically

Note this only works on the 322 - option deleted on 405 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17
