Another fuel burning heater question lol

So i now know that my FBH does work... I can hear the fuel pump at the rear clicking, i have only a few times had the cabin nice and toasty.

But one thing i cant work out

This morning it was 10 or 11 degrees. I switch the FH on and it started working.. Fuel pump was clicking and the FBH was firing up and the auto light on the climate was flashing. However after about only 10 mins it decided to turn itself off? Regards

at a guess I'd say battery voltage was getting low. Current

Easily proved, hook a battery charger up, trigger the FBH and see how long it runs then. BMW i3 Electric Car

Had the same issue and eventually LR gave in and changed the battery, no problems ever since...so agree with other comments..... I need more help than most...sorry !!

Fitted a new battery less than 4 months ago, maybe my short journeys havnt charged her fully..

What kind of drive time would give a full ish charge? Regards

Stick it on charge via the towing socket and see if it stays on longer with a full charge 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
New Defender D300 90 on order so "Rory" will be going to a new home....!

If you have towing electrics then worth getting the right kit to charge that way. So easy. No bonnet opening and very discreet. Best kit I bought apart from my IID Bluetooth 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Either the 7 pin plug or the 13 pin plug dependent on what you have fitted to your car. Wire the battery charger to the permanent live and the earth and thats it. BMW i3 Electric Car

Assuming of course you have a CTEK charger (they are good) and cant be bother to screw two wires into a plug. If you dont have a CTEK charger, you can save ££££ by putting the wires into the plug for the charger you already have. BMW i3 Electric Car

Curious, i was playing around with the car yesterday had the boot open for 40 mins or so, and then periodically through the day checked coolant 4 times ish,

i did a short drive to the shops..

my question is could i have drained the battery to a point where this morning my fbh only ran for like 1 minuite?

i fired it up and the pump at the rear was clicking for maybe 1 min and then just stopped..

this thing still fries my brain Regards
