Insurance Difference.

I'm looking for something a little more economical than the current 4.2 and the baby Evoque crossed my mind. 40+ mpg seems a little better than 17 and I like the cars although not driven one yet.

I was a little concerned that the insurance takes a big hike from current year £182 to £303. Although I always use the Meerkats both the quotes and the current insurance are with the AA so comparing apples with apples.

The value of the Evoque would be around £30k against the FF which is probably around £6k so I guess that would go some way to explain the difference. Anything else that could substantiate such a difference? 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged

Statistics, insurance companies love them.

Evoques are probably in the higher claim bracket for whatever reason, more crashed, stolen, bumped etc.

If you've got 10 minutes spare have a play on confused / meerkat webiste and change the simplest of things and watch the prices differ, just being married or single will affect the price Rolling with laughter Current

Assuming third party risk exposure is the same, then the Evoque insurance represents excellent value for money at double the premium but for 5 times the financial risk exposure of total loss. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

On the topic of insurance differences I paid £240 to insure my 2012 TDV8 fully comp with Adrian Flux last year. As I'm a month out from renewal I thought I'd look around.
Our supposed friends at A Plan Thatcham wanted £668..................

Nothings changed, my wife and I on nearly 30 years no claims with no points.

Hopefully Adrian Flux's renewal price will be nearer last years!

Theft of Evokes is quite high round the Midlands - They're disappearing at the rate of a couple a day. I assume it's similar elsewhere. That must have a marked effect on premiums Paul,
