Wheel spacer recommendation.

2016 AB 22" wheels. Went to test fit my 20" 09 wheels and the drum of the wheel clears the brakes, but the spokes do not. Can anyone recommend a set of spacers that'll work for me? I thought about fitting snow tires to the 22's but IMO they're just too big to be all that functional in the winter vs the 20's

Which wheels ?

Don’t discount 22’s - IMHO the 22 Conti Winter Contacts are very good.

I live in a ski resort for the winter & travel to the airport every week - I’ve never yet had to fit my snow chains. Maybe this year will be the first as I’ve booked more flights from Toulouse & the road is a bit more tricky than to Barcelona.

It has the 22" turbines but I'm looking to fit 20" wheels from my old 09 supercharged. I wouldn't want to run these 22's in the winter regardless, they're too nice. That being the case if spacers will work out I've got the 20's already wrapped in brand new blizzaks. I'd want to move them out with a spacer the length of the stock studs so I"m not having to file them down, based on the test fitting they should still clear the fender. I couldn't lower the car to measure given they don't fit over the brakes, but jacked up they're recessed quite a bit into the well of the car compared to the 22" wheels so going whatever the stud is should be okay... not entirely sure though.

I also have my doubts anyone has done this to their l405 but I'm hoping someone may have some info Wink

Why don't you simply buy a set of L405 20's, put the tyres on them and sell the 09 set, with or without the L405 tyres fitted back on them? Im sure your insurer would be far happier with factory 20's sir Whistle

That didn't even occur to me... but would they fit over the brakes?

Oh thanks! You scared me... I thought for sure some US spec thing would have ruined this for me and you go on to tell me they won't actually work. Ha. I purchased the ones I linked previously already so I'm all set and appreciate the help AND your offer to source some. This is going to be MUCH better than spacers... I was not crazy about that idea but again... it didn't even occur to me to look at 405 wheels... duh!
