Hi again folks. Just got my oil & filter kit from Opie Oils and noticed a slight difference in the oil filters. They have sent a Mahle OX 153/7 D2 which is the correct overall size BUT the one I've just removed has a spring loaded plastic non return valve (or at least looks like one) at the top of the filter. Unfortunately this existing filter has no manufacturers marking so no idea what or where it came from.

Do I need this NRV ? What have you guys fitted ?
