Advice on purchase please

Hello all
Having now come back from overseas I want to sell my existing LHD 4x4 and replace it with a second hand L405.
So far so good, but this is where I would really appreciate your help and advice.
Looking at a 2014 to 2016 Autobiography.
Annual mileage will not be in excess of 8K.......maybe 80% or so will be short journeys, less than 10 miles each.
Would it be better to go for the petrol over the diesel?
If the diesel should I worry about the crankshaft issues on the TD6 and opt for the SDV8.
I will be towing with it as well so if it is the diesel would the SD be better suited to that activity.
Thanks for the help and mods, if this would be better elsewhere then please move as required.

In my opinion with 80% short journeys you would be better off going for a petrol, less issues with DPF etc, Towing not an issue either , I changed from diesel to petrol after 15 years and wouldn't go back Thumbs Up

Hi Rosco
Thank you for the reply and your wise words.
In your experience are there any things I should be looking out for or carefully checking?
