Can this be done? Kind of miss it the 2002 with intravee had this and worked well... Current stable:

Not sure I fully understand the question.

My 56 plate TDV8 Vogue lights up like a Xmas tree when I press the remote unlock, also with door mirror lights shining all over the ground etc.

Gives a fully lit lit pool around the external door areas and all interior footwell lights, overhead, lights also lit.

I thought that this was normal?

My bmw and my old Range Rover with intravee when i remote unlocked it would put the sidelights, headlights and tails light on as well so in a dark car park you could spot it easily Current stable:
