2011/2012 tdV8 thermostat

Can anyone help me with information regarding changing the cooling thermostat on a 2011/2012 tdv8.I have just had a look and it seems less than straightforward. I have had a really good search and cant find anything related to it. The weather being what it is I want to do this in the shortest time possible. 2011 4.4 tdv8 Kahn. 2007 supercharged with 2012 lights and overfinch body kit. P38 with a full J.E.Engineering conversion

There's descrption in the WM in the Wiki. The only thing I can add is that others when removing the fan and shroud do not degas and remove the AC pipe as the pipe over the top of the fan can be moved carefully. Also be aware that the small connector on the coolant piping is delicate, treat it with repsect or it's £80.

WM/engine/engine cooling/coolingremovel and installation/cooling fan AND /thermostat

Someone with shortcuts may be along soon. Cheers
Richard

Ray

You're welcome.

One thing, if you are going to be in there, what about considering the belt, tensioner and pulley changes if required or even as a preventative maintenance measure. Threads here suggest the belt may need assistance if it's showing signs of moving off the pulleys and the tensioner may be getting worn/noisy.

Just a thought Cheers
Richard
