Tyre Pressure sensors: 2019 vs 2014?

I have a 2019 PHEV. I traded up from an early 2014 car (March, I think).

On my 2014 L405, I could put my offroad wheels on and the tyre pressure sensors would immediately be recognised.

Same wheels/pressure sensors on my 2019 car are not.

Does anyone know if the pressure sensors changed or if it is a question of programming them to the car?

If the sensors changed, do new sets need programming? If so, does it forget the first set? If yes to that, can I buy a tool to do it to say the faff of going to dealers each time I swap wheels?

If the sensors didn't change, same questions, I guess.

Thanks

the 19 wants 433mhz and the 14 is something like 315mhz... You need 433mhz sensors.

when fitting 'other' tyres/wheels then it takes 10 minutes of driving or around 18 miles for the sensors to be recognised ..if yours dont then i'd ask the dealer why... ... - .- -.

I read a post from Craig which said early L405 sensors are compatible with L322's, but then they changed around MY16 and later ones are not compatible with either....
