Does anyone have any further info about this, over and above what is in the Media? It looks like an excellent idea, price dependent obviously

Think now that JLR have bought Bowler, I can see them using the Bowler name to produce the Defender at a price that will see off Ineos and the Grenadier.
JlR are already kitted up to go with Defender original, so with Bowler as well, i think it's a shrewd move to protect Land Rover.
I'd have one. I used to have a 100'' Tomcat.

In a way, I hope they put Ineos back in their box. They come across quite arrogant.....
I remember the first Bowler motors at a National in the 80s  2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
New Defender D300 90 on order so "Rory" will be going to a new home....!

Its a great way to produce the Defender at low volumes whilst sticking to the Defender ethos.
And with the extra engineering that will go into them, as it's born from the Land Rover Competition Safari events, its an absolute winner in my opinion.
