Checking Topix shows that my FF left the factory with the remote option for the FBH. However no remote came with the car. Could be down to it having 2 brand new keys and remotes supplied and coded to the car 2 months ago and the remotes have been lost along the way.

No biggy as it works fine from the timed climate screen.

It would be nice though to have this feature, so 2 questions.

1. I’ve seen an apparently genuine brand new example on eBay for £38. This would probably be the cheapest genuine example of something of that kind I’ve ever seen for a LR. Is it really genuine?

2. I assume this would have to be coded to the car and is that something that’s relatively simple to do with a IId tool?

1. price sounds about right

2. No coding, just requires a pairing sequence, pull a fuse, put it back in etc. can't remeber off the top of my head but plenty of info on here and simple to do.


Just make sure you get the correct fob, don't trust ebay descriptions to be correct. Current
