United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Santorini Black
New vehicle to me

Hello. I have just collected a new to me 2012 Westminster and have been trying to go through everything on it which is a pretty big job! It all seems to be ok and as much as I can check all seems to work as it should.

One thing I can't find though is a key for locking wheel nuts. There is a location for one by the spare wheel. On closer inspection though it doesn't seem to have any fitted ? I'm not sure what they normally look like. Could anyone confirm please, many thanks

You dont have any. Like me the previous owner must have ditched them as they can cause a lot of grief. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Thank you for confirming. I just didn’t want to get caught out if I had a puncture and no means to get the wheel off!

Go round and check all the nuts.

Check the wheel brace will fit on them all. If not order some replacements. They swell up and are just as tricky to remove at the side of the road as a locking nut if your brace doesn’t fit.

If you have a couple of larger ones, then use a larger socket to get them off. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Yes that’s a good idea. A job for the morning along with checking the FBH pre heat function. I’m no stranger to Land Rover products but this is my first Range Rover and there are an awful lot of functions to check! I did check most prior to purchase but you can’t remember everything.
There is so much information here, it’s a great help for new owners

Nuts on that pic look OK, but it’s worth checking. Just had to remove one off mine with a garage, welder and several sacrificial tools..... Big Cry There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

A picture of the vehicle. It’s in pretty good shape and have done nearly 300 miles in it today with no problems other than the key fob battery needed replacing

There are a few small jobs I want to get done including new centres for those wheels

It’s on 64k and has FSH but you never really know what something is like until you have run it for a while. Fingers crossed I did the right thing!

One thing I notice is that it has reclining rear seats. I haven’t seen many with that.
