Cheers Joe.

I liked the Designo Olive as it showsa the black back features up well, but I was a bit stuck doing the interior. They only have 4 colours for the UK to choose from. Black, cream, truffle or red. So Ive gone for Nappa truffle with black inserts and cross sticthing like this.

My nephew is lucky enough to have one of these in black, everything is black (but he’s a youngster in his mid thirties) it’s stunning and so is yours. It’s never gone wrong Thumbs Up

Ha ha ha, I doubt I'll be towing at that speed....but I guess it shows their Tow Assist works!! lol

I did look at all black but I liked the lines of a lighter colour, and the interior seemed to favour that colour matching so not bad, and fingers crossed it works!! lol

Quite a difference from the 5.5 Biturbo that was on sale upto 2018.

Eastern Western Mercedes in Edinburgh were pretty helpful and really know the product, and unlike Glasgow actually bothered to call me back and also let me test drive a car. Last time I called Glasgow they simply said "its a demo but you cant drive it" - I'll not be buying it then.....dead simples!!! lol all smug in my new plug!

Should let the RR dealers you contacted know you have brought a merc so don’t bother following up... in the words of pretty women "big mistake, Big MISTAKE"

Send them a postcard with you stood next to it giving them the bird and the pretty women quote 👍

Loads of character, and a very special and refreshingly different colour scheme. I don’t want it, but I get it Thumbs Up

From those I have heard round here, the engine sounds like it runs on pure testosterone. I hope you have the bits n pieces to keep it rumbling! L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Thanks guys, it was such a good drive and I kept feeling a smile on my face grow and grow and that was not even with the valves open or in Sport Plus!!! Cracking chunky steering wheel and didn't feel like the tractor I expected it to be. And I know the colour will be a gamble for resale but I just thought I would need to learn Russian if I got it in black!! lol

It felt odd not having an arm rest in the middle so thats gonna have to change. I'm sure the whole thing is just quite shiny and new and when I need support no one will be seen!!! lol . But hey it's a new chapter of car ownership (when it comes) and I'm sure I will curse the lack of boot space but I want some manly testosterone driving but still want an SUV and I just couldn't bring myself to spend the money on an Urus when all I wanted was another V12 when I left the Lamborghini showroom so I knew it wasnt for me, and Range Rover has just hacked me off so much I cant spend the money with them either! lol

I'm like a kid at Christmas......obviously I was laughed at when I asked for new customer discount etc.....but worth a try!! all smug in my new plug!

So the laughing merc sales men went to the same school of discounts as JLR !

I tried to look at a merc a couple of years ago, The sales man just said we don’t have those.... so I left!

Good luck with yours. Let us all know how you get on in a little while. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...

To be fair, Carwow was doing 3% off a new one, but the guys at Eastern Western were pretty good, and helpful, and had a demo G63 and called me back when I wanted so cant complain really, and tbh they were pretty attentive for 4hrs, then again they did just sell a 163 grand car!!! lol all smug in my new plug!
