Imtermitant starting problem

Hi All

I'm hoping someone can offer me some starting advice on this problem

I have a 2011 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography, i bought it about 2 years ago, the problem started on day 2. picked the car up and drove it home all went well, the next day i called at my grandparents place and when i came out to the car it wouldn't start, tried the obvious first and attached the jump leads to my dads disco and it fired right up, so thought no big deal bad battery, got one fitted that day

Going forward had this intermittent fault sometimes it would start and sometimes it wouldn't, but it would usually start with a jump, so i though battery drain issue, had it tested and no issues found but the electrician advised the Bosch battery i fitted weren't that good and prone to failure, so i replaced again with a brand new Yuasa but this did not cure the issue,

This went on a month or so till the car didn't start at all, had to have it recovered to the garage, we diagnosed a bad starter which was promptly changed and the car started, great i thought end of problem dealer paid for the work.

Then the car developed this fault where it wouldn't sometimes start if it was hot after a drive, always started from cold, if i locked it went away and came back in half an hour it would start, so we ended up changing the stater button and the relay but this did not cure it, i have had this issue for over a year but its livable as it always starts when cold so i can get to work etc.

Then on Thursday last week wouldn't start messed around for 2 hours until it just decided to start, it was then fine started first time every time until Saturday when it wouldn't start, recovery came round and just turned it on and off multiple times and it did start eventually, i dropped it at the garage Saturday morning but we are at a loss

Its started this week for the garage every time and has no fault codes in the memory, live data shows the sequence is fine. (PS i tried holding the button in for start override and all i get is starter motor click and the a fault on the dash that say engine fault but no crank) Censored

I have had new starter, new relay, new button, new key batteries, both key re-coded, auto electrician has checked the immobilizer, any ideas where we go next

All advice appreciated Bow down

Get him to check the leads from the battery to the starter.
It’s a known problem that it can cause problems because it is in 3 pieces and the joints are known to corrode.
I will add a link to a thread that details the fix if I can find it.
