Land Rover Experience days AND SPAIN

any thoughts about the complimentary experience days at land rover and which of the various sites is best/worth travelling to..

Bill Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Eastnor castle is the home of the LR experience, so is possibly the best but quite a distance from you. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

If you've not done off roading before - then they are well worth doing.

I'd just book the nearest one - not enough of a difference to justify the trip IMHO

You have the car for the 1/2 day - with an instructor - so they're happy to take passengers and let multiple people drive - within reason & you have to fit in the car.....

Land Rover build a track they can get round, just.
VW do the same.
Porsche do the same.
Etc etc.
Impressive if you've only been on tarmac.

Landrover Spain have built one in Andorra - halfway up a ski slope - it's only a fairly short look with a hill, but Cool

Land Rover built the tracks back way before the likes of RR let alone the newer stuff! VERY impressive just how the newer tech equipt “stuff” gets around them Shocked Especially for a ham fisted so & so like me Very Happy

Yes at Eastnor there are places like “Freelander hill” built to destroy FL1 drivetrains! Unless you get into your instructors ‘good books’ they won’t allow you up around there in a RR

So, they will soon workout your ability and steer you in the right direction (excuse the pun)

We have done one of the “adventure trek’s” with them, you get to have a play on the Experiance course and then a trek out on some private land for the day. You do it in your own Land Rover, we went in the Defender but it was great fun watching brand new FFRR’s teetering over the edge of a decent 5 up with the passengers screaming Mr. Green

Highly recommended!

Is that still in Soldeu, Alistair? I'm sure when I was there a couple of years ago there was an LR off road experience operating at the top of the main lift... Looked like good fun and a chance for some snow/ice driving.

Excellent - I certainly watched for a while, and even took some video of it I think! Will have to go looking...

Would love to take the FF on a trip to Andorra one day - I did a trip in the Defender a few years back through Spain and across the Smuggler's Route into Andorra, which was great fun.

Thankyou all for your comments- much appreciated

Bill

As an aside , on Paul’s comment, planning a big Spanish road trip some day soon, but on a recent flying trip to Granada , we will need to think about which hotels we book, anything larger than a small family car will just not get thru the narrow streets..... don’t want to park in the town centre and wheel bags a mile up a hill.. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Alister, it’s on topic.... just changed it. Rolling with laughter

Bit like going into the bank the other day and they didn’t want to take a cheque with William on it instead of bill

After some discussion, they still said no, so I said change the mandate ! That stuffed them Laughing Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Bill,
I have stayed in a hotel called Belle Vue in the centre of Granada within easy walking distance to the little bus terminus to get up the hill to the Alhambra.
It was easy access in my Td6 L322 and had a secure car park compound .
Sorry I can’t find any other contact details.
