Since my independent landy guy packed up shop in Hersden, Kent, I’ve been looking for a good independent shop for my L322 TDV8 reasonably near to Canterbury in Kent. Preferably someone who actually knows their way around a Range Rover and it’s adorable electronics! Anyone got any experience and can make a recommendation?

Hi, Have you tried Stuart Gilbert near Sittingbourne (Oad street) he`s a one man band? Another one I have used is RCV East Peckham near Ashford very good and helpful.

I have been using East Kent Automotive down the A2 just past Lydden. From memorty they had an ex LR tech there, but not sure if thats still the case. They have done the last 2 services and sorted out the 4 wheel alignment on my previous TD6 and seemed to know what they were doing.

Sorry to hear you thought he was a knob I think he has health problems?

So Rangie booked in with RCV - so far so good. (Despite it being over an hour to get there from Canterbury)

Its having major service, brakes and disks all round, replacement thermostat, and investigation as to why the head unit keeps recycling from on to off and round again.

Will update once work is done/investigations completed and Ill try and provide feedback on comparison with dealer prices.
