United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Santorini Black

I'm not sure that having the sensor internal - requiring a 7-hour job to replace - is a step forward, IMHO.

It would seem much more logical to have it externally mounted: drain the oil, remove the sensor, install new one, refill with oil - all in under 10 minutes.

I am wondering if I can fabricate a dipstick... Current:

Would be great if there was a dipstick tube already fitted and blanked off by the manufacturer that you could utilise! Not sure if there is such a facility or option to install one from scratch but it would certainly solve the problem.

Hope you can get to a solution without sump removal. Current

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but does anyone have a link to the manual to remove the oil pan please? Have to change the sensor on a friends car. Thanks
