Hello, finally getting round to changing my tailgate seal this weekend. I know may sound daft but do I need any sealant or similar to attach and is it just a case of removing the old one then putting new one on. I can’t find any guides or similar.

If I recall, a Genuine Land Rover part has a sealant already in place. Saying this a lot of forum members seem to also "seal" the body panel seams prior to the fitting of the tailgate seal. Be careful when fitting the seal around the four corners especially the top ones. Not the best of designs. If you search the forum there are a lot of topics regarding this. Good luck.
