That's not really that cheap, there are quite a few early L405's (13/63) around online for similar money.

If I had around £25k to spend I'd stretch the extra £4k and buy JCW's MY16 65 plate AB......

Looking around at what’s on offer on EBay, auto trader and at various BCA auctions I see it at around the £20k mark once the mileage is taken into account.

Ah don't let cosmetics like that scare you off.

They're minutes to fix - ok seat a bit longer but those little issues are used by dealers to drive to price down.

Talk it down / talk it up is their business.

I'd be more checking front suspension for the revision and turbo drain for the revision (assuming it's 2013)

yeah I guess I did the fatal thing of taking him at his word.. Like you say, he puts the price high, you go in with a lower offer. Still to me seems like a lot of car even at £25,000.00 . You may not have been watching prices but are heading south fast.
So this isn’t especially cheap as mentioned.
People are turning their backs on diesel.
Maybe this is a £22k car.
On a forecourt somewhere he might get £26/£27k if lucky.
Also that “auction” site in the vid is ropey
