Looking for some help!

I have a 2018 AB with the new style executive rear seating and electrically folding seats to extend the load bay

I tried to fold the seats the other day and one side of the folding seats is jammed in the upright position.

Is there a manual override of the electrical folding mechanism so that i can get my seats folded down?

Or is this (another) trip to the dealer?

if you leave the seats for 10 minutes is the problem still there?

Yup still there after 10mins. Still there after 10 hours.


Scoured the owners manual. Nothing about manual release unfortunately

If the rear window operation is inhibited the rear seat operation is also inhibited. Possible? John

Was the engine running?

Make sure that the hatch in the load through facility is securely locked. It may appear in the locked position, but if not, the sensor will prevent the seat back from folding. This phenomenon may cause the mid arm rest being stuck in folded position.
