2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey

2011 4.4 Tdv8 belt running off help!!!!

Hi all I'm at my wits end trying to get to bottom of problem (3 belts later) the aux belt is running off line from the tensioner pulley to the next idler pulley running out about 5 mm when running and moving back in when switched off I have replaced all pulleys, tensioner and belt and no change !! Please any suggestions??

No mechanic has anyone experienced this issue? And have they cured it?

How much is the crankshaft pulley dancing around? The rubber inserts in damper pulleys (not specifically the 4.4's) can deteriorate.

Doesn't seem to be much movement but I'll check again as I wasnt aware there was an issue with them thanks

Have you worked from the workshop manual?

I haven't read that section but maybe there is something in there procedure-wise?

kit includes....

uk made aftermarket belt tensioner.

could still be the crankshaft pulley though.

What was the problem that Craig highlighted years ago that causes the edge of the belt to rub , chaff and fail?
I will add it to this post if I can find it. Plenty of spare time to look for it now I am in over 70 forced lockdown.

The common problem is due to a worn tensioner and yours has since been replaced.
