2017 MY Nav problem

Just two weeks since we collected the car and it seems that the Nav is not working properly. Irrespective of where the actual location is, the Nav screen shows the address of the supplying dealer. Have tried deleting all previous address entries, favourites etc but to no avail. It will accept a new destination, but calculates the time and distance from the dealers location.
I have read the manual a number of times but can’t see a solution. I would add that there is no sim installed and I have tried to connect the car to a hotspot on my iphone xr but the car won’t recognise that, although the phone is paired by bluetooth.
Sorry for the ramble but wondered if I have made a schoolboy error somewhere. Any advice would be most welcome. Waiting for the dealer to call back also.
Thanks
Dave

Thanks for your reply Stan.
I think that maybe the gps is not picking up current locations. I have also looked up the latest map version and it says 1970! That is clearly nonsense. I suspect the selling dealer deleted the previous owners data and in so doing something has gone wrong. Still waiting for them to ring back....

Sounds like the updates from the GPS have stopped working, so it's assuming it's last known position (the dealers)

Maybe some kind of reboot required - but I'd take it back to the dealers and ask them to fix it - even though it won't be an obvious issue once back at their location, so they'll have to drive it away again Rolling with laughter

Sorry should have said that I initially set the home position but the nav still calculated distance and duration from the dealers address!

Thanks Alistair, I suspect you are right. It has already been back once for a service as it showed 1250 miles to service when I switched it on in the handover bay! So much for the multipoint checks.

I had something similar happen. I fixed it by signing in to the incontrol nav page in the car. Occasionally you get signed out in the car and then the route planner loses the car location. 2017 Range Rover Vogue V6 Diesel

Thanks very much for this. It is going in to the dealer on Friday for a few issues to be sorted but I will try this in the meantime.

Just a quick update on this.

I have the car back, fixed. Apparently, a software update relating to the IMC module (touch screen) prior to sale, caused the problem and our car is the second one that the dealer has seen. The software update has been re-installed and new maps downloaded.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my posts.
